Veneers are thin facings of porcelain, fabricated after the tooth or teeth are minimally prepared by the dentist. They are then fixed onto the tooth with a special ‘dental adhesive’. Veneers are mainly used to improve aesthetics of the anterior teeth that have been heavily restored, traumatized, worn down or are not in perfect alignment. To achieve a perfect veneer, you will be asked to visit the ceramist’s laboratory so that he or she could choose the perfect colour match for your new tooth.
