Oral Surgery
 
Both minor and major oral surgical procedures may be undertaken within the Dental and Implantology Unit or operating theatres. Minor and intermediate procedures such as wisdom tooth surgery, implants, bone grafting, etc. may be performed under local anaesthesia with or without intravenous sedation. Major procedures are carried out under general anaesthesia within the operating suite.

Gum disease is swelling, soreness or infection of the tissues supporting the teeth. There are two main forms of gum disease: gingivitis and periodontal disease. Gingivitis means inflammation of the gums.
Mouth cancer screening is just as important and necessary as cervical, prostate or breast cancer screening. Identifying mouth cancer early, allows for a greater chance for a cure.
