Hygienist

Hygienist

The Dental hygienist is an extremely valuable member in the dental practice. We have a team of experienced hygienists who, during a typical appointment will help advise on the best ways of keeping your teeth in perfect health before removing unwanted deposits of calculus or plaque on your teeth. For more complex cases, the hygienist will also be able to use local anaesthetic to make cleaning of periodontally compromised teeth (teeth with gum disease) more comfortable.

Regular cleaning

You mouth should be kept as clean as possible by brushing and flossing your teeth. If soft and hard deposits are  found, the hygienist or dentist will remove it from around the teeth with the intention of preventing cavities, gingivitis and periodontal disease (ie gum disease).

Whitening

Brighten your teeth and boost your confidence. Teeth can be lightened to give a brighter smile. The most popular whitening treatment uses customised home kits. It is important to consult your dentist first to make sure you get the best outcome to give you the smile you deserve. The hygienist will need to clean and polish your teeth prior to any tooth whitening treatment to get the best result possible.
